Heated Gloves
I'm in the market for heated gloves. I've tried the liners and they are not working out so well. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't and in any event they make the fingers hard to move.

Some heated gloves seem to be no better in that regard so tell me your favorite and why. Thumbs Up

RE: Heated Gloves
I have Gerbing battery powered ones. I actually bought them for skiing. Small rechargeable battery sits in the gauntlet, gives 3 hours or so of heat on medium setting. Nice and warm, but not the best glove for bar and lever feel. I don't like the hassle of all the connections for electric gear. I have a battery powered electric vest as well. For the shorter rides I take in mid winter, it's enough.

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.

RE: Heated Gloves
I have the Firstgear Carbon gloves, only heated gear I have ever had. I've ridden with them in the low 30s (F) a few times and with the dial at about 75%, my hands were toasty. When it's 40F or lower, my thumbs get cold on the freeway at 70 mph, but I tuck my thumbs in behind the grip out of the direct wind and it's fine. Nice comfortable feel, nice soft leather, not bulky at all, gauntlet, good protection. Reasonably water resistant - good for an hour in the wet stuff at least. Held up well for 3 years now.

RE: Heated Gloves
I rode to work for many years, including winter if no snow and ice. The Gerbing's jacket liner and heated gloves were the mainstay of my defense against cold (along with a BMW K75RT, best cold-weather bike I've ever encountered). I rode 17 miles each way in weather as cold as 3°F and cold hands were never an impediment with this setup (at that temperature I used heated pants liners and insoles as well; only used those below about 15°F). Below about 10°F the biggest problem was my breath freezing on the OUTSIDE of the helmet faceshield.

So my experience with various methods of keeping hands warm is that the Gerbing's gloves (with their controller, of course, not an on/off switch) work best. It's important to keep core temperature up to ensure good circulation into the arms and hands, so the jacket liner is essential, IMO.

Plugging into the bike was never any issue with me; being cold on a motorcycle makes it not fun any more.

RE: Heated Gloves
I've been very pleased with these. Bought one size larger than my summer glove size to prevent tightness that cuts off circulation.

RE: Heated Gloves
I bought a pair of Joe Rocket heated gloves (battery operated). They simply do not get warm enough. I am going to try to return them. I will post a review of them someplace, sometime.

RE: Heated Gloves
I have the gerbings heated gloves, and the heated jacket liner wired to the bike. I have the adapter that uses the same cord as the battery tender. Also use the 3 setting controls. Gloves hook to the jacket liner at the wrists. Like it a lot ,I will say it is a little bit of a hassle , but worth it for the warmth .
