2016 CB1100's
as in 2015 the world was left wondering if there were going to be any new releases of CB1100's for 2016

at the Osaka and Tokyo Motorcycle shows, Honda showed up with some interesting concept CB's

this yellow EX model with lots of chrome incl gauge covers, and headlight bucket, square mirrors, a two tone painted motor, a custom covered seat and spoke wheels

İmage

Also this mild blacked out café version with black 4 into 2 exhaust, bar end mirrors, a checker board themed tank and side covers, and a bum stop seat and upside down reservoir shocks

İmage

Probably the most radical of the design concepts was this full on Café version with brushed aluminum tank, upside down forks, upside down reservoir shocks, custom seat, seat cover, 4 into 2 stainless upswept exhaust, custom side covers, custom wheels, custom swingarm, wide rear tire, custom turn signals & tail light, bar end mirrors and more

İmage

However only a modified version of the checker board concept model has shown up on the Canada website as being available for purchase in 2016, which looks like the regular standard CB with round mirrors, 4 into 1 chrome exhaust with stainless header and standard seat, only sharing the paint from the concept model

İmage

and again, the standard with concept paint available as a special order ABS (run of 200 units) only in Japan, which makes me doubt that this model is showing up in Canada after all

İmage

and this CB ex ABS Special edition with a run of 250 units available in Japan only, with spoke wheels and two tone paint on the tank

İmage

so far Europe and the USA seem to be left out of the plans for new CB1100's for 2016.

Hard to fathom how badly Honda has missed the market for retro motorcycles. From a business perspective, not the bike. A spastic, haphazard mush mosh of wheels and paint, no fark7€s to speak of, no marketing or advertising. Buried in the dusty back corners of dealerships with no retail presence. Really bad. Thank goodness it's a nice bike.

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.

RE: 2016 CB1100's
Well I was mistaken about the bike not coming to Canada and forum member Jssnider from Victoria BC Canada purchased in July 2016 one of the 16 Units (he was told) being imported into Canada as evidenced by this thread.

Still no 16 for the U/S. or European market.

Ferret, I think it was 13 units not 16—see user troy's profile here http://cb1100forum.com/forum/member.php?...e&uid=3894

I've got a feeling we haven't seen the last of the CB1100 in the U.S. I suspect that once the '14 black standards get cleared from the warehouses, we'll see something resembling the concept bikes from last year.

RE: 2016 CB1100's
Interestingly as of Sept 4 2016 we had a member join from Britain saying he purchased a 2016 EX model, which I believe would be the first 16 model out of Japan or Canada. Although I would like to see verification his bike is actually a 2016.

Honda is very confounding with their releases of CB1100s.

RE: 2016 CB1100's
I have the black with checker board - 2016 - my dealer claimed that he got it special ordered for a customer last summer but the customer went a different way. It's funny that it is the bike on the Canadian website - but if you go to order one they give you different colour choices. Odd all round. Judging by the VIN number it's bike 33. But 33 of how many?
Sorry - camera phone pictures - just pulled the cover off in the Garage
Came with the factory rear rack - I had them put the factory heated Grips on it. And at the moment easy mod to fit my black Shad top box (doesn't look bad, will live with it until I decide on panniers or a factory top box).
