RE: OEM Rear Rack- Fitting
Does anyone know if this tutorial would work for the OEM rack with flat crossbars with holes (OEM rack unlike the one pictured), fitted to 2013 US standard? I bought my rack last year from a Honda dealer on ebay and I've misplaced the installation instructions.

The instructions are on the honda powersports site and at least one other.

See if these are what you want. http://powersports.honda.com/documentum/...GC-A40.pdf

If not let me know and I can get you to the instructions for the ‘13.

Thanks popgun. I was hoping someone had a minute on the weekend to reply. Sunday is my only day off to install it. Once installed I'll use it often. I'll make a baseplate of wood and attach a lip all around the top to fit a cooler that can hold a gallon of milk. It should be great for forgotten grocery list items and cold or frozen snack urges. Lol

I have only installed one, mine, on my ‘13. But you might want to put some socks or something on your turn signals. You may also have to use some mussle power to spread the legs some to get it to fit in place. As long as you have all the parts it an easy job.

Let us know how you do!

Thanks popgun for the instructions link and Pterodactyl for this tutorial. This post is old but it still serves with information.

Thanks, I'm looking at this luggage rack I just ordered and received, and wondering how the provided TWO spacers and NO bolts are going to help. Thanks for the info on the RIGHT hardware required!!

I bought the same exact one for 90$ on eBay from Alpha Rider... Same problem came with 2 spacers and no longer bolts..... I saw he mention the "Front bolts (the longer ones)". Gonna have to shoot over to Ace Hardware tomorrow for longer bolts!
