Put another Bridgestone BT45 on the back of the CB750 this afternoon and cleaned up the chain while I was down there. Took a look at the original Bridgestone on the back of the CB11 and it looks like I'll be doing this again next week. It's almost at 10K miles and its wearing oddly. The center is predictably flat, but the tread on the left side has worn substantially more than the right. I've already put a PR3 on the front last summer, so I just ordered one for the rear.

Do ride around anticlockwise lots?
Seriously, why not use a radial tyre on the CB750?

Good question. I originally looked for a bias replacement because the OEM tires were bias. I've had such good service from the BT45s on this bike that I haven't really considered switching (This is the 4th set).

I've had two sets on the CB1100 now as the BT54s aren't available in Australia. I was pretty happy with them. The last rear one collected an unhappy slash which made me replace it before it came to the end of its life.

Today I left the CB1100 at home and took the CB750 out to break in the new rear tire. Went to the airport to scrub the sidewalls on their wide expanse of pavement then headed out to find some back roads. Since temps were only in the mid 70s I decided to ride some desert highways in the lower elevations.

Ended the day with about 175 miles on the new rubber.

Did 200 spirited miles on the Tiger 800, up and around NJ and PA, on a beautiful sunny day. Then, switched to the CB for a shore cruise, ended up in nearby Asbury Park for a stroll on the boardwalk. And a photo op in front of the legendary Stone Pony.
No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.
