Thanks for this picture, I think it's settled - I need a set of silver side covers.

But didn't you just get a '17?

yes indeed. got a pretty good deal in February with the trade-in. took delivery last week. keeping the tradition alive, she needs to be christened with a great road trip--eg Cabot Trail.

RE: Great roads
The best I have ever ridden were:

1. The Rattler Route 209 starting in Hot Springs NC.
2. The Backbone of the Dragon Route 16 Tazewell to Marion Viginia.

Have ridden the Tail of the Dragon. Not bad but speed limit is low, it's crowded and there are Tennessee State troopers all over it.

RE: Great roads
The Back of the Dragon is actually a section of the Claw of the Dragon RT 16 near Wytheville, Va. We held the CB rally there in 2016. It was a pretty intense ride. Beautiful area.

RE: Great roads
Thanks, Ferret! War Woman Rd. looks like exactly what I was looking for and I think I can pick up a stretch of BRP on the way back.

Nice.

RE: Great roads
There was another road in N Ga that we rode that was really cool. Lots of back and forth banked turns that made it a lot of fun. I'm trying to remember the name or number. May have to text my son or nephew who have better memory's than I do.

Edit: Nephew said it was in the section of 28 from 19/74 down to war woman rd.

RE: Great roads
Ferret, I think you mean 2015 in post #13 and 2016 in #15?

EmptySea, I've ridden in that part of the world once. That makes me an expert. Right? Probably not, but for what it's worth, I enjoyed this ride from NC into GA, https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1...68725&z=10 and then the bit of this loop https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1....14695&z=9 that took you through Helen, Suches and Blue Ridge was good too. Trouble is, it might be a heck of a day.

Ride4now knows that neck of the woods pretty well.

RE: Great roads
You may be right Cormanus I'm better with route numbers than with dates lol. I'll trust you and fix them.

Btw your first map there is Moonshiner 28 and War Woman rd

Wolf Pen Gap Road near Suches, GA. is a favorite of mine.
