Sneak Peek
My '14 DLX build (aka: The Transformation) is still a work in-progress so she's not quite ready for a full photo shoot reveal.... But, I took this pic, edited it and it came out too cool not to share. Tongue

Looking very Darth Vaderish, or is that an illusion?

Ferret.... It's a little bit of both. It's not red anymore so that part is not an illusion. I knew I wanted the CB a while back and had a year and half to research and plan mods, so I hit the ground running once I got it. I still have quite a few things left to tweak, but I'm pleased with everything so far. Once it's complete in a few weeks, I'll put together a more detailed thread with better photos.

Oh, it looks very good. LOve the Cb's with the silver motors and wheels in black. Did you paint it yourself?

Thanks! I also love the contrast of the darker painted surfaces with the silver motor. I've been thinking that the 2013 style wheels with black spokes might look good with this combo so powder coating them is not out of the question.

I did not paint it myself... Mr. T. hooked me up with a 2016 EX special edition tank and a set of fenders color matched to the black accent. I also have a special edition matching Road Comet 1 fairing on the way. I'm also gonna do the lower Honda bars and some different mirrors to lower the profile a bit since I went with the sleeker RS seat.

I like the silver contrast and these were an inexpensive option.... although they do fit, the left side cover exposes a metal tab/stay on the frame rail where an electrical connector locks in. I don't have my 2014 Service Manual to verify, but I'm guessing it might be for the ABS system because the 2014 standard uses the same cover with no tab on the frame rail.

I may go back to the DLX side cover in black, titanium blade or silver.....

Beeaautiful! Did you redo the wheels yourself or was there a year when they came standard silver? Mine have black on the middle of the casting.

I'd like to add a rear carrier rack as well as probably the first thing I add to my new (to me) bike..
