Newbie from Ntn beaches, Sydney
G'day all from sunny Sydney (a pleasant 32 deg C or 90 deg F) here today ... nice riding weather.
I've happily owned a plethora of different Japanese and European bikes over the past 40 years and still have a few in the garage. I recently bought a nice 83 CB1100F blue, white, red model. Like most of us, there's been a number bikes I'd liked to have owned over the years and this is one of them. Not a lot of them in Oz, and I'm pleased to have found this example. Looking forward to getting it out for a decent run. Cheers

G'day Dougal. Welcome aboard the forum and congratulations on the 'new' bike. Lucky you.

Please do not take the following the wrong way. You are most welcome here. This is a place where convivial people talk about all kinds of motorcycles. We like people who like bikes. Just be aware that the primary focus of the forum is on the latest iteration of the CB1100 that came to Australia only in 2010 and 2011. If you're looking for a place where CB1100F enthusiasts hang out and can help you with stuff, this may not be the right place. That said there are plenty of very knowledgeable people here with extensive experience of more kinds of motorcycles than I knew existed, so you're more than likely to get help with any question you may have.

I'm in Brisbane, but I ride down your way occasionally, so if you're ever interested in going for a ride with a couple of new-fangled CB1100s, let me know. It won't be for a while as I've only just returned from a summer jaunt.

I can understand that. In the great moderator competition to approve new members, it's easy to get so excited by the prospect of being able to click the "Approve" button that you miss the detail!

ROFL

You know sometimes, if we don't approve them quick enough, they think their post didn't go in, so they post it again (and sometimes again). I usually approve the first one and delete the following ones. When the pink band showed up on my front page indicating a mod action required, I panicked and rushed over and approved him without vetting him good enough. My bad, although he seems like a decent bloke anyway lol

How come you get a pink band on your front page? I don't. What's going on here? Huh
