Is that the out-the-door price?
Honda's base price last May was 13,299. Now that the 2018 CB1100 RS is advertised, last year's model should be discounted. $1000 less would not be unreasonable for a 1 year old motorcycle.
Honda Canada will add $760 for Freight and Pre-Delivery-Inspection.
Your dealer may also add $499 for PDI as they are the ones that actually remove it from the crate, inspect and prepare it.
Then may be a couple of Provincial Fees:
OMVIV $10 and Environment fee $19 (may vary by province).
If you have a trade-in, the value will be deducted, as well as the HST based on the trade-in value.
The HST for balance of the cost the new bike will then be calculated and added. Here in Ontario it is 13%.
The licence administration fee ($32 in Ontario) will be added. The taxes are part of the fee.
If you have to make a loan, they will offer as little as 1% interest depending on the amount borrowed and number of years to pay it off. But be aware that Honda will also add an Loan Registration Fee of $224.25.
I am not trying to scare you off, the CB1100 is a great machine. But it helps to know all the costs before you start negotiating.
